What is the Nonprofit Organization Management Certificate Program?

The NCC Extended Studies Nonprofit Management Certificate Program provides students with an overview of the nonprofit sector and instruction on the essential skills needed to be competitive in this dynamic field. As the only extended studies nonprofit management program in Fairfield County, this series of courses provides a forum for students to share information on issues and trends affecting the nonprofit sector. The program is designed for:

  • Undergraduate students interested in learning about the nonprofit sector
  • Nonprofit organization staff seeking to increase their management skill
  • Board of directors members curious about nonprofit trends and best practices
  • Individuals seeking an “encore career”

How does the program work?

The Nonprofit Organization Management Certificate Program is comprised of five required core courses. Professionals with extensive experience working in the nonprofit sector teach each course. Additional elective courses on nonprofit topics are also offered.
